A Few Good Men? How about Wayne "The Great One" Gretzky, Mario "The Magnificent"
Lemieux and Mike "The Boss"
Bossey. "The Great 8" Alexander
Ovechkin can officially move into that elite group after scoring his 200
th career goal (league-leading 37
th of the season) Thursday night in his 296
th career game. In doing so, he has joined the
afore mentioned 3 greats in an
exclusive club of 4 - the only guys in NHL history to have scored 200 goals in their first 4 seasons.
Ovechkin was more caught up in
the fact that the Caps fell 5-4 to the LA Kings when he stated: "I don't want to talk about my personal stuff. We had great chances [late], but we didn't score." With his exponential enthusiasm for the game, I'm not surprised the superstar is more concerned with his team's play than individual accolades.
